Professional Profile

I am a PhD candidate at the Department of Medieval Studies at CEU, Vienna. My research focuses on the use of history in general, and the crusades in particular, in contemporary media, especially video games. I also research the use of video games as pedagogical tools for the teaching and learning of history.

I am also the leader of the Medievalisms on the Screen project at the Department of Medieval Studies at CEU, a space for the discussion and research of the use of the Middle Ages in contemporary popular and political speech. Other research interests include the history of the crusades and the medieval church, literary criticism, and biblical exegesis.

I've been teaching since I was doing my BA. which adds up to more than ten years of experience both at a high-school and university level.
